Design & Decoration

Gilding makes use not only of gold leaf but also of silver, copper, aluminium, palladium or platinum leaf. The traditional and age-old techniques of the gilder are surprisingly versatile and have always seamlessly espoused the aesthetics and requirements of their times.

Depending on surface type and available budget, the possibilities are almost endless: decorating an entire wall or ceiling, gilding natural or man-made objects, transforming a frame or a severely damaged object whose restoration would prove too costly, modernising a piece to bring it in line with its owner’s taste are some examples of projects I was able to develop and carry out for clients.
